Lodging: Marines must attempt to reserve lodging at the Candlewood Suites on Fort Leonard Wood prior to obtaining off base lodging.

Prior to attending all Marines are required to have access to LOGWAY publications website. Marines require CAC access (security investigation complete and USMC accounts) for classroom instruction. All SAAR forms for LOGWAY will be completed by the Marines’ respective units prior to attendance.

This course is an advanced level course.  This course is demanding and requires students to have a solid grasp on basic mechanical concepts.  Marines should have a fundamental understanding of GCSS Marine Corps before attending the Course. It is recommended they have attended Material Readiness Training Cell (MRTC) GSCC-MC courses and have completed the following MarineNet courses:

  • M00MTH0000: Math for Marines (WEB)

  • MCIZ2820ZZ: Electronics Mathematics for Marines

  • GCSS11BC01: GCSS-MC Basics

  • MCIZ1335DZ: Fundamentals Of Diesel Engines

  • MCIZ3525DZ: Tactical Vehicle Fuel And Exhaust

  • MCIZ1142CZ: Solid State Devices

Marines must meet height and weight standards.

One rental car per unit per course (i.e. 1 for NCOM, 1 for NCOO) is recommended as Marines have to stay off base and need transportation to and from training areas. Chiefs, operators, and mechanics train in different areas of the base and schedules between courses often conflict.

All Marines attending the course will receive an email 1 week prior to check in with information regarding location of check-in and any other updated information regarding the course. Please ensure your Marines have updated their information on MOL (email address) so they will receive this information.
