Biography
Captain Marc Snyder

Captain Marc C. Snyder graduated from The Pennsylvania State University, State College,Pennsylvania, in December 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He completed Officer Candidates School in the winter of 2009 and accepted his commission as a Second Lieutenant on March 20, 2009. He graduated from The Basic School in April 2010 and was assigned the Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 0301, Infantry Officer-Student.

In June 2010, Second Lieutenant Snyder completed his MOS training at the Infantry Officer Course, Quantico, Virginia, earning the MOS 0302, Infantry Officer and subsequently reported to 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 2d Marine Division, CampLejeune, North Carolina to serve as a Rifle Platoon Commander for Company C. He was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant in March 2011. In May 2011, First Lieutenant Snyder deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a Rifle Platoon Commander for Company C. First Lieutenant Snyder returned from Afghanistan to Camp Lejeune in December 2011.

In March 2012, First Lieutenant Snyder assumed the duties as the Assistant Operations Officer for 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 2d Marine Division. First Lieutenant Snyder served as the Assistant Operations Officer for 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 2d Marine Division, until April 2013. First Lieutenant Snyder was promoted to the rank of Captain in April 2013. In April 2013, Captain Snyder reported to Headquarters and Service (H&S) Company, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools (MCCSSS), Camp Johnson, North Carolina, and served as the H&S Company, Executive Officer, until present.

Captain Snyder holds the secondary MOS of 0530, Civil Affairs Officer. He earned the secondary MOS in October 2010 upon completion of the Civil Affairs Course in Quantico, Virginia.Captain Snyder’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
