Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Engineer School
Colonel Jennifer A. Nash

Colonel Nash was commissioned in August 1998 following graduation from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice.  From 1999-2000, she served with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Iwakuni, Japan as the Engineer Division Officer-In-Charge.

In July 2000, she was assigned to Seventh Engineer Support Battalion where she served as the Training Officer, Company Executive Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer.  During Operation Iraqi Freedom, she was the Commanding Officer of First Bulk Fuel Company.

From 2003 - 2006, she was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twenty-Nine Palms, California where she served as the Range Maintenance Officer.  In September 2006, she returned to Seventh Engineer Support Battalion and was assigned as the Commanding Officer, Charlie Company.  The company deployed to Iraq with Combat Logistics Battalion One in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 8-1.

Colonel Nash served as Commanding Officer of Recruiting Station Raleigh, North Carolina from June 2009 to June 2012.  Then, in July 2012, she attended the U.S. Naval War College.

In July 2013, she assumed duties as the Operations Officer for Marine Wing Support Squadron 373 located on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California.  In June 2014, she was appointed the Executive Officer for the Aviation Combat Element Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Crisis Response - Central Command where she served in Kuwait until September 2015.

Colonel Nash served as the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff G-3 for 3d Marine Aircraft Wing from October 2015 to May 2016.  In June 2016, she was assigned as the Commanding Officer, Seventh Engineer Support Battalion.  Then, in July 2018, she attended the U.S. Army War College.

Upon completion of the U.S. Army War College in June 2019, she was assigned to United States Strategic Command where she served as Current Operations Officer and Director of Staff at the National Airborne Operations Center.  In July 2021, Colonel Nash received orders to serve as Assistant Chief of Staff of Recruiting at Eastern Recruiting Region located on Parris Island, South Carolina and sub sequentially additionally served as the 4th Marine Corps District Commanding Officer for 3 months.  Colonel Nash reported to the Marine Corps Engineer School in July 2023 to assume the duties of Commanding Officer.

Colonel Nash holds a Master of Sciences degree in Administration from Central Michigan University, Master of Arts degree in National Securities and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and Master of Arts degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.

Her personal decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star (Fourth Award), Navy and Marine Commendation Medal with Gold Star, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star.
