1stSgt Dale T. Elbert Jr

Dale Elbert was born in Saint Louis, Missouri and moved to Washington, Missouri at the age of 1. He graduated High School from Washington High School in May of 2004.

Private Elbert enlisted into the Marine Corps in August of 2004 and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. After graduating MCRD San Diego meritoriously he reported to the School of Infantry, Infantry Training Battalion in Camp Pendleton, CA in January 2005 for MOS training.

In March of 2005, Private First Class Elbert reported to 2d Battalion 1st Marines in Camp Pendleton, California and was assigned to Weapons Company, Combined Anti-Armor Teams where he served in the billets of Driver, Gunner, Vehicle Commander, and Section Leader.  During this tenure Corporal Elbert deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom while conducting a 13th MEU and deployed for a year long deployment to Okinawa, Japan in support of the 31st MEU.

In June of 2008 Corporal Elbert reported to Basic Recruiters School aboard MCRD San Diego, California. Upon graduation Corporal Elbert was given order to Recruiting Station Saint Louis, Missouri. From September of 2008 until April of 2012 Sergeant Elbert Served as a Canvassing Recruiter and Assistant Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge for Recruiting Station Saint Louis

In May of 2012, Sergeant Elbert reported to 3d Battalion 6th Marines to serve as the Machine Gun Section Leader and Platoon Sergeant for Weapons Platoon, Lima Company. During this tenure Sergeant Elbert deployed on one UDP to Okinawa, Japan.

In October of 2014, he was promoted to Staff Sergeant Elbert and given PCA orders to 2d Battalion 8th Marines where he served as Assistant Operations Chief and a Platoon Sergeant for Golf Company, 1st Platoon.  While serving as Platoon Sergeant, Staff Sergeant Elbert deployed in support of Black Sea Rotational force.

In January of 2016 Staff Sergeant Elbert received orders to School of Infantry East, Marine Combat Instructors Course. Upon graduation from MCIC, he was sent to Infantry Training Battalion East, Delta Company. He served as a Combat Instructor and Platoon Sergeant until August of 2017 when he was assigned as the Machine Gunner Course Chief Instructor and promoted to Gunnery Sergeant.

In April of 2019, Gunnery Sergeant Elbert reported to 3d Battalion 4th Marines where he served as the Company Gunnery Sergeant and Company First Sergeant for Lima Company. During his tenure with 3d Battalion 4th Marines he deployed on 2 SPMAGTF’s in support of EABO at Adak Island, Alaska and the Border Security team in Chula Vista, California. He also deployed to Okinawa, Japan in support of the 31st MEU. In January of 2022 he was frocked to the rank of First Sergeant.

In February of 2022, First Sergeant Elbert reported to the Marine Corps Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he was appointed as the Company First Sergeant for Military Police Instruction Company.

His personal awards include (2) Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal’s, (4) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal’s, and a Combat Action Ribbon.
