As a Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORES) unit permanently assigned to the School of Infantry-West, Mobilization Training Battalion (MTB) provides pre-deployment training for Individual Ready Reserve (IRR), Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR), and active duty Marines in order to increase individual warfighting skills and prepare for future operations.
