Amphibious Combat Vehicle Unit Leader (ACVUL) Course provides the student the necessary skills to capably manage an AA unit both tactically and administratively. Amphibious Combat Vehicle Unit Leader (ACVUL) Course is designed to develop the enlisted AA unit leader skills beyond the AA Vehicle Commander. Building upon skills introduced during Crewmember and Vehicle Commander Courses, students will gain a firm understanding of how to design and incorporate a unit training program, and how to conduct and inspect preventive maintenance programs. Students will be able to independently employ an AA section both offensively and defensively, to include directing section fires, while providing advisement to their supported unit commanders. Students will also obtain the necessary skills to provide planning guidance and wave control during AA ship-to-shore operations.
