The Safety Office mission is to execute the commands comprehensive occupational safety and health program by providing effective safety education, training, and advice while promoting regulatory awareness throughout our commands, schools, and detachments; reduce and/or eliminate mishaps, manage risk, implement force preservations and readiness through assessment and evaluations.

 

The Safety Office functions encompass a range of critical responsibilities aimed at promoting and ensuring a safe working environment.  These include providing risk management training materials; conducting program inspections and assessments; managing or providing oversight and evaluation of high-risk training, explosives, hazard communication, traffic, LASER and radiation safety programs; provide hazard analysis and identify trends within the mishap investigative process as well as mishap investigation and reporting.  Additionally, we interpret safety standards and regulations and contribute to the development of new or revised command-level standards.  Furthermore, we provide safety analysis to the program of instruction process to ensure compliance.  Finally, we facilitate the Commanding General’s safety investigation board (SIB) and the mishap endorsement process and performs duties as an SIB member when required.  The Safety Office provides matrixed functions for TECOM and TRNGCMD.
