Colonel Bradford W. Tippett
Colonel Tippett is a native of San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University and was commissioned in 1995.
His command assignments include Platoon Commander, 2d Battalion, 2d Marines; Company Commander, 3d Battalion, 7th Marines; and Commanding Officer, 3d Battalion, 1st Marines. Additional assignments in the operating forces include Operations Officer, 3d Battalion, 7th Marines; Regional Planner I MEF G-5; Plans Officer I MEF (FWD) G-3/5; and Assistant Chief of Staff G-3, U.S. Marine Forces Pacific. He deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
Other assignments include Series Commander, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Operations Officer, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island; Platoon Commander, Officer Candidates School; Infantry Advocate/Occupational Field Sponsor, Ground Combat Element Branch, Plans, Policies and Operations, Headquarters Marine Corps; Branch Head, Global Force Management Division, Joint Staff J-35; and Faculty Advisor, Marine Corps Command and Staff College.
He is a graduate of Expeditionary Warfare School, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, the School of Advanced Warfighting, and the National War College. He holds Masters in Military Studies and Operational Studies from Marine Corps University and a Masters in National Security Strategy from National Defense University.
Colonel Tippett is married to Mrs. Kamey Tippett. They have three children, Nate, Maddie, and Johnsie.
