MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va.– Weapons Training Battalion–Quantico and the Marine Corps Shooting Team hosted the 65th Interservice Rifle Championships from June 1-12 at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. The ISRC brought together shooters from across the U.S. Armed Forces to compete in rifle disciplines designed to improve marksmanship, readiness and lethality throughout the joint force.

Training Command launched Ground Reconnaissance Course as part of an updated Marine Reconnaissance training curriculum at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, April 27. GRC is now the initial course in the updated curriculum, which replaces Basic Reconnaissance Course with two new courses: GRC and Amphibious Reconnaissance Course. This change comes from analysis of reconnaissance training and support to Force Design initiatives, including Scout Platoons and multidomain operations.

U.S. Marines with the Advanced Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry – East, conducted a live-fire combined arms exercise July 3, 2025. The exercise showcased the Mjolnir lethal payload system delivered by unmanned aircraft systems. This marks a significant step forward in integrating small unmanned systems at the tactical level.
