On June 30, 2017 the Marines of Marine Corps Engineer School participated in a Change of Command ceremony where Lieutenant Colonel Greg Marchlinski relinquished command to Colonel James H. Bain. The passing of the school colors signifies the transfer of Command, which entails the transfer of total accountability, authority, and responsibility from one commander to another.
