On April 14, 2016 Second Lieutenant Thomas Cofer, a Marine attached to Combat Engineer Officer Course 5-16 (CEO 5-16); uses a hammer drill, a tool within the Airfield Damage Repair (ADR) kit; to break up concrete around a spall. Spall repair is an expedient method of repairing runway damage that has not broken through the runway surface.
