On January 11, 2016 Marines attending the Basic Engineer Equipment Electrical Systems Technician course 1-16 (BEEEST 1-16) aboard Marine Corps Engineer School Camp Lejeune, N.C.; receive a demonstration from Sergeant Bobby D. Bruce, an instructor; on how to disassemble components on a diesel engine attached to a main generator. Understanding how to disassemble components and troubleshoot problems is one of the various tasks the Marines must master in order to earn the 1142 Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
