Marines of the EODATC Supervisor Class recently trained in the technique of crater analysis. The Marines utilized fragmentation identification to determine the type of ordnance item. Identifying the ordnance item and then utilizing ground signs from the crater, the Marines were able to determine the point of origin from which the item was fired.
