The Marines of the Maintenance platoon not only provided heavy equipment (HE), the heavy equipment operators (Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 1345) to load and unload the rolls of matting, the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacements (MTVRs) and drivers (MOS 3531) to test the trafficability of the systems on the different terrains; they served as the labor force to employ the matting. LCpl Bailey operates the TRAM while Cpl Regier stabilizes the matting on the ground.
