Task Force Beautification Marks 100 Projects: CGYCA Vocational Training Building Revitalization Efforts
U.S. Soldiers and Airmen with the District of Columbia National Guard’s Task Force Beautification conduct revitalization efforts inside the Vocational Training Building at the Capital Guardian Youth ChalleNGe Academy in Laurel, Md., Sept. 30, 2025. Revitalization efforts are part of a larger community outreach initiative and community-building in support of the D.C. Safe and Beautiful mission. Task Force Beautification has recently completed more than 100 projects with partners like the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. National Park Service, and Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANC). Interview features U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Craig M. Maceri, Task Force Support commander. About 2,300 National Guard members are supporting the D.C. Safe and Beautiful mission providing critical support to the D.C.
