The Day in the Life of a Medic During XCTC
The typical day in the life of a medic is never predictable. Soldiers of Company C, 106th Support Battalion, tested their training as patients were rushed into the medical tent for treatment during the Exportable Combat Training Capability Exercise. The medics prepare I.V.’s to rehydrate heat casualties, take their heart rate and blood pressure, then determine the severity of each patient’s case. During the XCTC at the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, medics expect to treat heat casualties, and other emergencies daily.
