B-52 Stratofortress aircrew from the 2nd Bomb Wing perform maintenance with the guidance of Staff Sergeant Sauer, B-52 crew chief, at Moron Air Base, Spain, Sept. 26, 2017. The airmen are deployed to RAF Fairford for a 3 week deployment supporting bomber assurance and deterrence operations. U.S. Strategic Command bomber forces regularly conduct combined theater security cooperation engagements with allies and partners, demonstrating the U.S. capability to command, control and conduct bomber missions across the globe. Bomber missions demonstrate the credibility and flexibility of our forces to address today’s complex, dynamic and volatile global security environment.
