Sergeant Major Bohn enlisted in the Marine Corps in June 1989 upon graduation attended Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton, CA where he earned the MOS of 0331 machine gunner.
Sergeant Major Bohn’s assignments include Fleet Marine Force tours in the 1st and 2nd Marine Divisions and II MHG. Weapons Company 3/9, Lima Company 3/2, Weapons Company 1/8, Lima Company 3/4, Fox Company 2/9, 2D Intelligence Battalion, and 2D Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Deployed and supported the following operations during his career: 26th MEU in support of Operation Silver Wake in the country of Albania, and Decisive Endeavor. Two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the country of Iraq.
Sergeant Major Bohn has served tours outside the Fleet Marine Force to include Marine Barracks Subic Bay Philippines, Marine Barracks Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Inspector & Instructor Staff Little Rock Arkansas (Lima Company 3/23), Marine Combat Instructor (SOIE, ITB), Inspector & Instructor Staff Austin Texas (Weapons Company 1/23). Supported the following operations during his career: Joint Task Force 160 (GTMO Cuba)in support of Sea Signal, Alien Migrant OP Able Manner, and Able Vigil.
Sergeant Major Bohn’s professional military education includes attendance at the SNCOA resident and non-resident courses Sgt through 1stSgt, Infantry Platoon Sergeants and Squad Leaders Courses, Advanced Machine Gun Leaders Course, Drill Instructor School, Marine Combat Instructor Course, and various other military courses. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and currently working on his master’s degree in business administration.
