Capt Emanuel I Garcia

Capt Garcia was born in Pasadena, CA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a focus in Exercise Science in May of 2018. After commissioning from Officer Candidate School, Capt Garcia reported to The Basic School (TBS).

Following TBS and Marine Corps Engineer School, he was assigned to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion in Camp Pendleton, CA.

Capt Garcia checked in to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion on August 6, 2019, where he served as the Assistant Training Officer before completing the Sapper Leader’s Course in October of 2019. Capt Garcia was then assigned to Charlie Company March 27 of 2020 where he served as 1st Platoon Commander.

After leading his Marines through Adversary Force Exercise 5-20, Marine Air Ground Task Force Warfighting Exercise 1-21, and Exercise Steel Knight 21, he deployed in support of 1st Battalion 7th Marine Regiment on Marine Rotational Force Darwin 21.2 from April to October of 2021. In country, he served as the senior engineer advisor and resourced engineering capabilities and training venues to support the battalion during seven live-fire, multinational, and bi-lateral exercises.

Upon redeployment, Capt Garcia retained command of 1st Platoon until January of 2022 after which he was assigned to Mobility Assault Company as the Company Executive Officer and served from January to June. After receiving orders, Capt Garcia reported to Site Support Phoenix, 6th Engineer Support Battalion to serve as the Inspector Instructor from June 7, 2022, to July 28, 2023. During this time, he saw the fulfillment of all administrative and operational requirements for the active and reserve Marines of Site Support Phoenix and Bulk Fuel Company C.

On August 8, 2023, Capt Garcia reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego where he served as a Series Commander and Company Commander for Company G, Second Recruit Training Battalion from August 8, 2023, to December 12, 2024. While aboard MCRD San Diego, he attended Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command Assessment and Selection and was chosen to continue follow on training to the Marine Raider Course (MRC) 25-1. Capt Garcia reported to MRC 25-1 aboard Camp Lejeune on January 11, 2025, and served as a student until August 7, 2025. Capt Garcia reported as Company Commander to Engineer Equipment Instruction Company aboard Fort Leonard Wood in August of 2025.

Capt Garcia’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
