Chief Warrant Officer 4 Fidler was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina, on November 9, 2001. Upon graduation, he attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. Upon completion of MCT he reported to Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri for MOS training as a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) Defense Specialist and graduated in May 2002.
After completion of NBC School, LCpl Fidler was ordered to Marine Aircraft Group 14, Cherry Point, North Carolina where he served as the warehouse NCO. In January 2003, CWO4 Fidler was deployed with Marine Aircraft Group 14 Forward alongside VMA-223 and VMA-542 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 1 as the Senior NBC representative. In February 2003, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Upon return from deployment, Corporal Fidler was assigned to A Co, Marine Corps Base Smedley D. Butler in Okinawa, Japan in August 2003. While in Okinawa, he served as the NCOIC of the NBC Equipment Assessment Unit, Marine Forces Japan. In July 2004, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
In August 2004, Sergeant Fidler was assigned to 1st Air and Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, Camp Pendleton, California as the NBC NCOIC. From August 2005 to March 2006 and August 2006 to March 2007, Sergeant Fidler executed two deployments to Al Anbar Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In June 2007, he graduated from Sergeant’s Resident Professional Military Education.
In July 2007, Sergeant Fidler was assigned to Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) as the Ground Training Chief. In March 2008, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. In November 2008, Staff Sergeant Fidler was reassigned under the Presidential Program of Marine Helicopter Squadron One as the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRN) Staff Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge. In January 2011, Staff Sergeant Fidler reported to The Basic School (TBS) with India Company and was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer in February 2011.
Upon the completion of TBS and CBRN Defense Basic Warrant Officer Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Warrant Officer Fidler was assigned to 1st Battalion, 2d Marines (1/2), Camp Lejeune, North Carolina as the CBRN Defense Officer In Charge (OIC) in September 2011. In October 2011, 1/2 was assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) as BLT 1/2 where Warrant Officer Fidler server as the Senior Watch Officer during the 2012 deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). While on deployment, he participated in exercise Eager Lion 12 with the MEU CBRN response squad. In August 2012, he was promoted to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2. In June 2013, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Fidler was reassigned to 1st Battalion, 9th Marines (1/9) as the CBRN Defense OIC and served as the Senior Watch Officer in Afghanistan from September 2013 to May 2014 in support of OEF for the closing of Camp Leatherneck and other US bases in the Helmand Province.
Upon returning from Afghanistan, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Fidler was reassigned to 2d Tank Battalion as the CBRN Defense OIC and Assistant Operations Officer in June 2014. While assigned to 2d Tank Battalion, he was promoted to CWO3 in May 2016, graduated Expeditionary Warfare School with distinction in June 2016, and Graduated the United States Army’s CBRN Captain’s Career Course as the Distinguished Honor Graduate in December 2016. In April 2017, CWO3 Fidler was reassigned to the 26th MEU Command Element as the CBRN Defense OIC and Information Management Officer. While assigned to the MEU, CWO4 Fidler deployed from February to August 2018 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and participated in exercise Eager Lion 18 with his CBRN response squad.
In June 2019, CWO3 Fidler was assigned to Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 31, as the CBRN Defense OIC. While assigned to MAG-31 he was promoted to his current rank of CWO4 in December 2020. In July 2021, CWO4 Fidler assumed his current billet at U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command as a the CBRN Defense OIC and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Advisor. In June 2023, he graduated from Command and Staff Non-Resident course with distinction.
In July 2025, CWO4 Fidler was assigned to Marine Corps Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood where he currently resides as the CBRN Instruction Company Commander.
Chief Warrant Officer 4 Fidler’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal w/ 3 gold stars in lieu of 4th award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal w/ 2 gold stars gold star in lieu of 3rd award. He is a graduate of American Military University with an associate’s degree in Weapons of Mass Destruction Preparedness, an undergraduate certificate in Explosive Ordnance Disposal, and a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security. Chief Warrant Officer 4 Fidler is married to Brittany Fidler. They have two children: Kate (10) and Lana (6).
