Major Sabin graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Near Eastern Studies.  Major Sabin attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned in May 2010.  After graduating from the Basic School in December of 2010 and the Basic Engineer Officers Course in May 2011, he was assigned to 2d Combat Engineer Battalion.

When Major Sabin reported to 2d Combat Engineer Battalion he assumed the billet of Officer In Charge, Engineer Support Company.  In December 2011, Major Sabin was assigned as Platoon Commander, First Platoon, Company C.  He was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant in May of 2012. 

In October 2012, Major Sabin deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM 12.2.  He deployed to Forward Operating Base Geronimo in support of 3d Battalion, 9th Marines (Regimental Combat Team-7), as a Platoon Commander.  In May 2013, he re-deployed back to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.   

In June 2013, Major Sabin was assigned as Executive Officer, Company B.  In April 2014, Major Sabin was assigned as Commanding Officer, Company B.  He led the company in support of the Conus Based Alert Force, 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit, and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit.  In July 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Captain.     

Upon completion of the United States Army Engineer Captains Career Course in April of 2015 as a Distinguished Graduate and Assistant Commandant Award winner, Major Sabin assumed the position of Inspector-Instructor, Engineer Services Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 25, in South Bend, IN.  He supervised the execution of all engineer operations for Combat Logistics Regiment 45 in support of Integrated Training Exercise 4-16 and 4-18, and mobilized 38 Marines for deployment with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 17 – Southern Command. 

In August 2019, Major Sabin took over as Company Commander, Engineer Company, Marine Wing Support Squadron-172, Marine Aircraft Group-36.  While with MWSS-172, he was promoted to his current grade in May 2020 and assumed the role of Aviation Ground Support Department Officer-In-Charge, G-4, 1st MAW, in July 2020. 

In May 2021, Major Sabin became the Company Commander of Engineer Equipment Instruction Company, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, where he is currently assigned.   

Personal Awards and Decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (x2) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
