1stSgt Francisco Reyes

First Sergeant Reyes was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on 8 August 2004 and attended recruit training aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. Subsequently, he attended Marine Combat Training (West), and the Motor Vehicle Operators Course aboard Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he received the Military Occupational Specialty of 3531.

From January 2004 to November 2007 First Sergeant Reyes was assigned to 1st Battalion 2nd Marines, Headquarters and Service Company, Camp Lejuene, North Carolina, where he was promoted to the ranks of Lance Corporal and Corporal. First Sergeant Reyes deployed on the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, in November of 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 5-7 from March 2007 to September 2007. First Sergeant Reyes was promoted to Sergeant on 1 October 2007.

In November 2007, First Sergeant Reyes received orders to the School of Infantry (SOI) East, Headquarters and Service Company where he served as a Motor Transportation Operator and the commands Color Sergeant. Throughout his tenure with SOI East, First Sergeant Reyes attended and completed Sergeants School aboard Camp Johnson, North Carolina.

In January 2009, First Sergeant Reyes reported to Drill Instructor School, Class 2-09 aboard MCRD-San Diego. He served with 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Bravo Company and Support Battalions Special Training Company. First Sergeant Reyes served as a Drill Instructor, Experienced Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Chief Drill Instructor. First Sergeant Reyes was also meritoriously promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. In December of 2011, First Sergeant Reyes received orders to 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion aboard Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as the Motor Transportation Operations Chief.

In March of 2012, First Sergeant Reyes received orders to 5th Marine Regiment aboard Camp Pendleton, California. Here he would serve as an Operations Chief, Platoon Sergeant, and S4 Chief. First Sergeant Reyes was deployed to the country of Jordan in May of 2014 in support of Maritime Prepositioning Force Operations aboard the USS Lopez.

In November of 2014, First Sergeant Reyes reported to Marine Corps Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he served as an Instructor, Assistant Team Leader, Team Leader and Licensing Examiner. First Sergeant Reyes was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant on July 1, 2017.

In October of 2017, First Sergeant Reyes received orders to Combat Logistics Battalion 1 where he would serve as the Transportation Services Platoon Sergeant, Company Gunnery Sergeant, and Company First Sergeant. In April of 2018, First Sergeant Reyes deployed to Marine Rotational Force- Darwin to Australia.

In October of 2020, First Sergeant Reyes reported to MCRD San Diego. On January 6, 2021 First Sergeant Reyes was promoted to his current rank and was assigned to Golf Company.  First Sergeant Reyes would be entrusted to lead some of the first female integration compositions and initiatives aboard MCRD-SD.

In May of 2023, First Sergeant Reyes reported to his current command aboard the Marine Corps Detachment Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He Currently serves as the Company First Sergeant for Motor Transport Instruction Company.

First Sergeant Reyes' awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal in lieu of fifth award, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in lieu of third award, Combat Action Ribbon and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. First Sergeant Reyes holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and  Master of Science in Organizational Leadership with National University.
