Executive Officer
Lieutenant Colonel T. C. Neder

Lieutenant Colonel Neder entered the Marine Corps through the OCC program and received his commission in December 2004.  Upon completion of The Basic School, Infantry Officers Course, and Amphibious Officers Course, LtCol Neder was assigned to Company B, 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion and joined his unit in theater in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 4-06.


Upon his return from Iraq in May 2006, he was promoted to First Lieutenant and deployed as a provisional rifle platoon commander to Al Anbar, Iraq.  In November 2007, following Company B’s redeployment, LtCol Neder assumed the duties as Company Executive Officer before assignment as the Battalion Assistant Operations Officer in February 2008.


In June 2008, LtCol Neder reported to The Basic School and was assigned as a warfighting instructor and primary instructor for the Combat Orders, Tactical Planning, and Decision Making Packages.  In May 2009 he was assigned as a staff platoon commander for Company D and again for Company B in 2010.  From August 2010 to August 2011 he served as the Amphibious Assault Platoon Commander for TBS before attending Expeditionary Warfare School.  LtCol Neder graduated from EWS in May 2012 and reported to Officer Candidate School where he was assigned to the operations section before taking command of Second Platoon, Company C, Platoon Leaders Course 4-12.


Following his assignment at OCS, he reported to 2d Assault Amphibian Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC.  In November 2012 he was assigned to Second Marine Headquarters Group as the Executive Officer of a district-level Police Advising Team under the Advisor Training Cell.  In May of 2013 he deployed to the Musa Qa’lah District of Helmand Provence, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 13-1. 


Following his team’s deployment to Afghanistan, LtCol Neder returned to 2d AABn and assumed Command of Company D in September of 2013 and Company C in August 2014.  Following his promotion to Major, he was assigned to 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion and assumed command of Company D in Twentynine Palms, Ca.  In April of 2017 LtCol Neder assumed command of Company C, 3d AABn and deployed to Okinawa, Japan in support of UDP.  Upon return from deployment in November of 2017, he executed orders to 2d AABn as the Operations Officer and Executive Officer.  In May of 2020, LtCol Neder was reassigned within 2d Marine Division as the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-10.  


In May of 2022 LtCol Neder executed orders to his current position as the Executive Officer of Assault Amphibian School, Camp Pendleton, Ca.
