MILITARY HISTORY: 

LtCol Bronson commissioned into the Marine Corps in May 2003, following graduation from Worcester State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After graduating from The Basic School and Infantry Officer Course, he reported to Company A, 1st Battalion, 3d Marines for duties as a rifle platoon commander and deployed to Okinawa, Japan in July 2004 as part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. During the deployment, his battalion deployed to Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM as part of the theater reserve and participated in Operation PHANTOM FURY. Upon returning to Hawaii, he assumed the duties as Executive Officer, Headquarters and Services Company and deployed to Jalalabad, Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in January 2006. After returning to Hawaii, he assumed the duties of Executive Officer, Weapons Company before volunteering for assignment to a Military Training Team (MiTT) tasked with advising Iraqi Army security forces and deployed in April 2007 to Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Upon returning from Iraq in October 2007, he received orders to Officer Selection Station Amherst (MA) for duties as the Officer Selection Officer (OSO).

 

Upon a successful recruiting tour, LtCol Bronson reported as a student to the Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS). In 2010, after graduating from EWS, LtCol Bronson reported to 3d Battalion, 6th Marines and assumed command of Company L and deployed to Marjah, Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Upon returning to Camp Lejeune, he assumed the duties of Operations Officer for 3d Battalion, 6th Marines and deployed to Okinawa, Japan as part of the Unit Deployment Program, supporting exercises across the Pacific Area of Operations.

 

In July 2014, LtCol Bronson reported to 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade in Bahrain. While there, he served as the Deputy Current Operations and Deputy Future Operations Officer supporting crisis response and theater security engagements in the CENTCOM Area of Operations. In August 2016, LtCol Bronson attended Marine Corps Command and Staff College, earning a Master’s degree in Military Studies. Upon graduating Command and Staff College, he reported to The Basic School and assumed the duties of Assistant Operations Officer then served as the Commanding Officer of Bravo Company 2-19. He assumed his current duties as Executive Officer, Weapons Training Battalion in July, 2019.

 

He is married to the former Natalie Prendergast of Katy, Texas and has a son, Matthew.
