Master Gunnery Sergeant Shawn Hall

  • January 1991:  Master Gunnery Sergeant Hall enlisted in the Marine Corps on 16 January 1991.  After graduating from boot camp, Marine Combat Training, and Unit Diary Clerk training, Lance Corporal Hall was sent to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron-32, Marine Aircraft Group-32, Cherry Point, NC. 

     

  • August 1992: Lance Corporal Hall executed Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders to Command Element, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit Camp Lejeune, NC, where he was assigned duties as a unit diary clerk. While there Lance Corporal Hall was promoted to Corporal.   

  • December 1993:  Corporal Hall executed PCS orders to Marine Aircraft Group-46, Detachment B, Naval Air Station, Alameda, CA, where he was assigned duties as a unit diary clerk.  While there Corporal Hall was promoted to Sergeant.  

  • June 1996:  Sergeant Hall relocates with Marine Aircraft Group-46 Detachment B from Alameda CA to Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, CA, where he was assigned duties as a unit diary clerk.   

  • March 1997:  Sergeant Hall executed PCS orders to Inspector-Instructor Staff, 4th Landing Support Battalion, San Jose, CA where he served as the Unit Diary clerk. 

     

  • September 2000:  Sergeant Hall executed PCS orders to Manpower Information System Support (MISSO) 27, Okinawa Japan where he served as a MISSO Analyst.  In March 2003, MGySgt Hall was assigned to MISSO-11 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Camp Commando Kuwait.  While there Sergeant Hall was promoted to Staff Sergeant.   

  • August 2003:  Staff Sergeant Hall executed PCS orders to Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Manpower Management Support Branch-32 (MMSB-32), Quantico, VA where he served as the operations chief for the fitness report processing branch.  While there Staff Sergeant Hall was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant.   

  • July 2005:  Gunnery Sergeant Hall was selected for the Staff Noncommissioned Officer Degree Completion Program and attend the University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg, VA.  In May 2007, Gunnery Sergeant Hall received his Bachelor of Liberal Studies and graduated with distinction from the University of Mary Washington.     

  • July 2007:  Gunnery Sergeant Hall was assigned to Marine Corps University, Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME), Quantico, VA where he served as the Sergeants Course Coordinator.  While there Gunnery Sergeant Hall was promoted to Master Sergeant. 

     

  • July 2010:  Master Sergeant Hall executed PCS orders to Kansas City Military Entrance Processing Station, (MEPS) Kansas City MO, where he served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor.  While there Master Sergeant Hall was frocked to Master Gunnery Sergeant. 

     

  • August 2013:  Master Gunnery Sergeant Hall executed PCS orders to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC), where he served as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the IPAC.  Master Gunnery Sergeant Hall was promoted to the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant in October 2013.

     

  • December 2016 – Present:  MATSG 23 Senior Enlisted Advisor. 

 

Personal Decorations: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (second award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (second award)
