FMTB-W, Camp Pendleton : FMST Course
Proper civilian attire must be worn when you are authorized liberty. Proper civilian attire is defined as clothing that does not bring discredit upon yourself or the military. Clothing that is frayed or in disrepair is not authorized. Also, if your pants or shorts have belt loops, you are expected to wear a belt. PT gear will not be worn as civilian attire. Remember, there are plenty of Marines and Sailors out there ready to correct inappropriate attire. You represent the Navy, in and out of uniform, so take pride in your personal bearing and appearance.
**COVID VACCINATION IS 100% VOLUNTARY. HOWEVER, FULLY VACCINATED STUDENTS ARE AT A LOWER RISK FOR CONTRACTING COVID AND THEREFORE ELIGIBLE FOR INCREASED LIBERTY OPPORTUNITIES PER THE COMMANDING OFFICER’S DISCRETION. COVID VACCINATION PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT FMTB-W IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.**

FMTB-W continues to employ force health protection actions and safeguarding essential personnel to ensure we can accomplish our missions. This includes closing access to the battalion for non-essential personnel and families to safeguard the health of our students and training personnel. Graduations will be modified until the risk of COVID-19 has decreased nationally.
The health and well-being of students, staff, and their families remain our primary concern. We are keeping our personnel well informed regarding protective actions to minimize transmission, and the state-of-the art Navy medical testing capabilities are being used. Our students remain our top priority, and they are in good hands.
The Department of Defense has extended the travel ban until further notice. This restriction will be reviewed every 15 days by DoD personnel.
Graduations will remain closed to the public until further notice. If you are holding onto a reservation or making travel arrangements with a future graduation in mind based on the initial travel ban, please understand that until there is a change in policy the public will not be allowed to attend.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the pandemic together. When a change is made to base access allowances, graduations, or leave for new Sailors, it will be shared officially on this page.
We must all understand the importance of protecting the force and continue to be the “most ready when the nation is the least ready."
Please be aware of the following: - Graduation Events remain closed to the public. - Graduation photos and video will be posted on this FB page.

In order to protect the health and welfare of the force, it is essential to take steps that mitigate the risk for contracting and spreading COVID19. As part of that effort, FMTB-W is taking action to limit exposure to the virus for students, FMTB-W staff and their families, and others who utilize Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Some of those actions require temporary, conditions-based modifications to FMTB-W graduations which follow here:
At present, the FMST graduation ceremony will be restricted to student and staff. However, efforts will be made to make the ceremony viewable on-line via the FMTB-W Facebook Page (provide link).
We will continue to monitor CDC and Navy Marine Corps Public Health Center updates and actively working to implement actions that support the health of our students. For the most up-to-date information on COVID-19, please visit the following links:
