FMTB-W continues to employ force health protection actions and safeguarding essential personnel to ensure we can accomplish our missions. This includes closing access to the battalion for non-essential personnel and families to safeguard the health of our students and training personnel. Graduations will be modified until the risk of COVID-19 has decreased nationally.
The health and well-being of students, staff, and their families remain our primary concern. We are keeping our personnel well informed regarding protective actions to minimize transmission, and the state-of-the art Navy medical testing capabilities are being used. Our students remain our top priority, and they are in good hands.
Graduations will remain closed to the public until further notice. If you are holding onto a reservation or making travel arrangements with a future graduation in mind based on the initial travel ban, please understand that until there is a change in policy the public will not be allowed to attend.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the pandemic together. When a change is made to base access allowances, graduations, or leave for new Sailors, it will be shared officially on this page.
We must all understand the importance of protecting the force and continue to be the “most ready when the nation is the least ready."
Please be aware of the following: - Graduation Events remain closed to the public. - Graduation photos and video will be posted on this FB page.

Student Check-In Process
If you are sick or displaying symptoms of COVID19 (link to CDC), please contact the duty phone (760-213-1897) and notify the duty about your condition BEFORE physically reporting to Valor Hall.
NEW STUDENT CHECK-IN PROCESS:
During Working Hours:
Upon reporting to Valor Hall, there will be a tent set up outside of the building for students to go to for check-in. Make sure that you have a mask on at all times and stay behind the marked area. At that time students will be asked to complete a verbal screening and temperature check prior to being placed in student berthing.
During Non-Working Hours:
Upon reporting to Valor Hall, students will contact the FMTB-W Quarter Deck (during the duty day, Monday - Friday 0700 - 1630) : (760) 725-2559 or FMTB-W OOD Phone (after hours and weekends) : (760) 213-1897. The on-duty personnel will have the students complete a verbal screening and temperature check prior to being placed in student berthing.
RESTRICTION OF MOVEMENT (ROM)/LIBERTY:
Upon check-in, all students, including those with dependents, will be placed on a modified ROM.
The Student Liberty Policy will be reviewed by the command throughout the course, and may be changed based on the health and safety needs of students and staff.
In order to protect the health and welfare of the force, it is essential to take steps that mitigate the risk for contracting and spreading COVID19. As part of that effort, FMTB-W is taking action to limit exposure to the virus for students, FMTB-W staff and their families, and others who utilize Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Some of those actions require temporary, conditions-based modifications to FMTB-W graduations which follow here:
At present, the FMST graduation ceremony will be restricted to student and staff. However, efforts will be made to make the ceremony viewable on-line via the FMTB-W Facebook Page (provide link).
We will continue to monitor CDC and Navy Marine Corps Public Health Center updates and actively working to implement actions that support the health of our students. For the most up-to-date information on COVID-19, please visit the following links:
