Assault Amphibian Unit Leaders (AAUL) Course co-training with the Infantry Officer’s Course (IOC) conducting pre-combat checks and inspections for the Mechanized Assault Course (MAC). This is the first time IOC has had ACVs to utilize during training.
Infantry Officer Course (IOC) personnel rapid-response dismounts for (R220) high-elevation convoys with sector area security based on last known enemy positions, accompanied with M240B and .50 Caliber rifles supplying long-ranged suppressive capabilities.
Assault Amphibian Unit Leaders (AAUL) Course 1-22 supported Infantry Officer Course (IOC) 1-22 during a live fire Mechanized Assault Course at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms. AAUL/Assault Amphibian Officer supports IOC during their course to learn the capabilities of the Assault Amphibious Vehicle and to build rapport with the commanding Infantry Lieutenants. In the picture, the AAVs are suppressing the enemy with .50 Caliber rifles while the infantry suppresses the target with 60 and 81mm mortar fire.
Training and Instructor Company (T&I CO) Instructors operate the amphibious combat vehicle (ACV) in the Del Mar Boat Basin testing water breaching, maneuverability, and validate the functionality of the new curriculum prior to introducing it to the Tracks’ community for the new Blended POI.

Training and Instructor Company conducts night splashes in the Del Mar Boat Basin to enhance the Instructor’s ability and proficiency on the amphibious combat vehicle (ACV) in preparation for the upcoming POI.
Infantry Officers Course (IOC) conducts combined training with Assault Amphibian Unit Leaders (AAUL). As a result, IOC Lieutenants can conduct rehearsals for dismounting the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV). At the same time, AAUL shows a defensive staging at a cold position, allowing IOC to occupy their hot position.
Assault Amphibian Unit Leaders (AAUL) Course conducting Close-Quarters Combative contingencies while utilizing the Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) to box-scan and survey the immediate compound.
 
ASSAULT AMPHIBIAN SCHOOL TRAINS MARINES IN ASSAULT AMPHIBIAN VEHICLE (AAV) OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE WHILE ASSISTING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF FORMAL TRAINING AND LOGISTICAL EVALUATIONS OF NEW AAV SYSTEMS; AND WHEN DIRECTED, PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE AND LOGISTICAL SUPPORT.
