Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California
Welcome Aboard

ASSAULT AMPHIBIAN SCHOOL (AAS)

TO OUR NEWLY REPORTING MARINES

As the Commanding Officer and Sergeant Major of AAS, allow us to be the first to welcome you. You join the ranks of the Assault Amphibian community; a small yet highly impactful element of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.  During your time here, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the top Assault Amphibian operators and maintainers in both entry-level and advanced skills training.   As a student I expect you to bring your best every day as you prepare for your next assignment; I know the instructors and staff here at AAS have your success at the forefront of all their actions.  AAS overlooks the Pacific Ocean and affords Marines and their families an opportunity to take advantage of Southern California where a myriad of local attractions and activities are at your fingertips.  Welcome aboard! We look forward to training the next generation of AMTRACERs.

ASSAULT AMPHIBIAN SCHOOL (AAS)

TO OUR NEWLY REPORTING MARINES, SAILORS AND FAMILY MEMBERS

As the Commanding Officer and Sergeant Major of AAS, allow us to be the first to welcome you. AAS has been entrusted with training the next generation of AMTRAC operators and maintainers; a task that should not be taken lightly. During your time here, you will have the opportunity to support or instruct multiple classes of entry-level students as well as a myriad of advanced courses. The students are eager to learn; they will give you their best effort and I know you will give them yours. I expect all permanent personnel to show the students "what right looks like" as this formal school must set the standard across the Assault Amphibian community. Despite the high operational tempo, AAS affords Marines, Sailors and their families a break from overseas deployments and an opportunity to reset prior to returning to the Fleet Marine Force.  Southern California is an ideal location to see the local attractions and enjoy activities with family and friends so take advantage of all the area has to offer.  Welcome aboard! We look forward to serving with you.
