Welcome family and friends to Company I’s website.

At Company I, our mission is to train Marines in basic infantry skills, as well as the manipulation of their service weapon through standards-based common combat skills training; these skills may save their life one day.  Over the next 29 days your Marine will conduct tough, realistic training to prepare them for the possibility of combat. The Combat Instructors, assigned to lead, teach and coach your Marine, are some of the best and brightest Non-Commissioned Officers and Staff Non-Commissioned Officers that the Marine Corps has to offer.  These Instructors bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience of infantry skills, directly applicable to the current and future operations of the Marine Corps.  We are fully dedicated to the training and education that Marines will receive while at Marine Combat Training Battalion.  Regardless of their Military Occupational Specialty, our ultimate goal is training every Marine in basic infantry skills.  With the continued fight against COVID-19, we at Marine Combat Training Battalion have policies in place to mitigate and reduce cases of the virus.  Please understand that your Marine will be involved in training for the next 29 days and most of this instruction will be in an austere training environment.  While they may have access to their phones, we ask that you allow them to immerse themselves into training so they can fully absorb the skills and knowledge that could give them the upper hand in a combat environment.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we are not conducting graduation ceremonies.  Again, thank you, for your support during this very important time, as your Marine continues their basic skills training for their professional development as a Marine.

To Incoming Students:  I would like to begin by congratulating you on your recent graduation from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and earning the title United States Marine.  Regardless of the Military Occupational Specialties that you were assigned, Marine Combat Training Battalion is designed to teach you the basic combat skills that will allow you to operate in a combat environment.

Over the 29 day training cycle, you will be challenged mentally and physically and I expect you to come prepared.  You will be led and coached by an elite group of Non-Commissioned Officers and Staff Non-Commissioned Officers whose combat experience and wealth of knowledge will be bestowed upon you as you learn the basic combat skills that Marines have proved in recent combat situations.  I assure you, that upon graduation, you will have the comprehension and confidence required to sustain the Marine Corps’ reputation as the world’s finest fighting force.

Thank you, Marines and families, for your patriotism and service; and, for answering the call to defend this great nation during a time of conflict.

Semper Fidelis,

Capt. Farrell
